The Ember University Bridge RN to BSN online program empowers registered nurses through an elite, accessible, and fully online educational experience. Our goal is to cultivate healthcare leaders by equipping graduates with the skills to critically analyze and apply research and evidence-based practices. This program fosters confident and compassionate healthcare delivery, meeting the needs of individuals, families, and communities while enhancing public health outcomes. Designed for completion in one year, it prepares nurses with advanced knowledge in the science, art, and technology of nursing, opening doors to expanded opportunities and responsibilities in the healthcare sector.
Nurses work in a variety of acute and long-term care settings, including trauma centers, community hospitals, home health agencies, rehabilitation centers, long-term care facilities, hospice agencies, schools, industrial and organizational settings, and the military. Hospitals preparing for Magnet status employ a larger proportion of nurses with a B.S.N. degree.
Some institutions also have higher pay grades for bachelors-prepared nurses. The nursing profession encompasses many opportunities for a lifelong and rewarding career, including management opportunities, clinical specialty positions, and career ladder opportunities. Bachelors-prepared nurses can also pursue advanced degrees in nursing for roles such as nurse educators, nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, nurse midwives, nurse anesthetists, nurse administrators, and nurse researchers.
Nursing has a healthy job outlook—the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts the number of jobs will rise 16 percent through 2024, much faster than the average growth rate for all occupations.

Admission Requirements
In addition to the general admission requirements and procedures, applicants wishing to be considered for admission to the Bridge RN to BSN Bachelor of Science in Nursing program must:
- Be a Licensed RN with an active RN license, who hold an Associate of Science in Nursing or nursing diploma from an accredited institution recognized by the United States Department of Education, or a foreign associate degree evaluated by an approved agency indicating equivalency to a Associate of Science Degree in Nursing earned at an accredited institution in the U.S. (official university transcript or evaluation must be received before the end of the first term) with a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
